Practice Task finished piece

Once we finished filming we edited and inserted the song to make the final product. Our actress learnt all the words and knew the positions she needed to get in, this was a great help when editing because it made our job easier.

Practice Task Planning

After we had completed the story board, as with planning any filming product we organised our prop list, location and timings.
Once this was also all completed we did some practise shots to prepare for the actual filming day so we new exactly where are shot where going to be and what the actress had to do. We did this by taking photo's of the positions we intended to use in our filming, to make sure they matched up with the music video we were copying.

We had to get the direction of the actor the same as the music video otherwise this would be a major continuity error on our part, we also wanted a toy in the frame like Taylor Swift has the knitted bird in the corner of the shot. So we chooose a money as out toy pet, we though we had the get the distance from the camera to the toy right as well, as the bird is very close up to the camera. We also wanted to include a frame in our shot becasue it is obvious Taylor is sitting by a window, so we also wanted to create that allusion with our recreation.

Practice Task

For our A2 advanced portfolio we have decided to make a music video. In a music video lip syncing is very important to get perfect and correct, so we have decided to do a practise lip syncing task. We decided to copying the first minute of Taylor Swifts song 'We are never ever getting back together' which is very popular in the charts at the moment.

We started making a story board, trying to keep to the video as much as we could, this proved a bit difficult because the shots were very long and all interlinked by the camera itself swirling. This was our storyboard:

Music videos that inspired me

I have seen a number of music videos that have inspired me, and given me some creative ideas for my own music video. I was particularly fascinated by the different techniques music videos have like 'Stop Motion Animation'.
This video uses 'Stop Motion Animation'  but it uses real people and words. I think this creates a reality to the song, and it has an amusing side to it as well.

The next video was wear I first saw 'Stop Motion'. I really like the fire affects in this video and it has given me some great ideas.

In this next video that has inspired me it is completely different to the one above. In this video I really like the use of light and speed. I think the way they used light and speed shows the emotions of the song and the characters in the video.
